The Whyte E-506 V1 is a new multi-surface e-bike from this well-regarded UK brand.

This super-versatile e-bike takes a big leaf out of Whyte's mountain bike design book with trail-orientated geometry for sure-footed mountain bike handling – exactly what you need in traffic when your panniers are fully loaded, or when navigating rough forest tracks. It's ideal for exploring Haldon Forest or Dartmoor National Park but equally at home nipping through the city streets on a trip to work.

Like its dedicated off-road cousins, the E-506 uses a class-leading Bosch e-bike system with the powerful (85Nm/250W) Performance Line CX drive unit, providing all the assistance you need to flatten out your ride and power-up your commute. The stout RockShox 35 front fork, fast-rolling Schwalbe tyres and powerful 4 piston Tektro disc brakes dish out comfort and control in all situations, whether off road or on.
